Bed Buying Guide -Many of my blog readers will be aware of the various guides
I have published before, these have mainly focused on when to replace your mattress or bed and the signs that tell you it is time to replace it.
This is a ‘Real’ Bed Buying Guide – Previously I have concentrated on the various types of mattresses and bed sets available and what different properties of comfort toppings there is on offer now.
Today I would like to give you a few pointers for when you have made that decision to change your bed and you are ready to venture out to look for one!
Bed Buying Guide
Your first focus when faced with the huge array of different mattresses available should be your comfort preference – then your quality preference.
1/ GO PREPARED!
Wear comfortable clothing so that you can try one from the other easily.
2/ TAKE YOUR TIME
Bed Buying Guide
Some people feel a little shy when trying beds out and I am always very aware of this.
I do understand how laying down on beds in a store may make you feel somewhat strange! We have a large selection of beds for you to try when visiting our Better Furniture Store in Great Yarmouth and that’s exactly what they are there for! “Give em all a go!”, this is the only way you will make an informed decision on a really important purchase.
It really is a very important decision choosing a mattress or bed and one that you will live with for many years.
This purchase is always going to be one worth spending as much time as possible on.
The time you spend will ensure you have made the best choice available to you on a bed that provides so much of your daily comfort.
3/ DO YOU SLEEP SITTING DOWN?!
Of course we don’t sleep sitting down!
Neither can we judge the support and comfort of a bed by sitting on the edge OR pushing the side of the mattress up and down with your hand!
As most of us end up sleeping on our sides when in bed, try them all out this way!
It really makes sense to do this now doesn’t it?!
You will find any pressure points on your body in this way and get a better judgement of the toppings and how they feel to YOU.
4/ TAKE YOUR PARTNER
If you do share a bed with a partner, try shopping with them so that you can decide on the levels of comfort preferred together.
Its not the end of the world if you like different comforts as there are alternatives and compromises!
Those of us married will know all about compromise!
