Have you ever dreaded opening your wardrobe first thing in the morning knowing what you were going to face looked more like something out of a horror movie rather than that well organised space that makes getting ready in the morning more streamlined and a breeze to find exactly what your looking for in a blink of an eye.

Research has shown that the majority of people know within the first few minuites of waking what colour outfit they will wear that day. Colours create moods and moods tend to follow certain colours. Waking up happy you will tend to dress bright and light yet have a heavy or late night and yep you’ve guessed it a dull drab outfit will pursue, that’s right something that will blend in with all the other Jonses’.

So lets think about one of the first things you think about in the morning, what am I going to wear. Granted I can’t give you that answer but what I can do is give you a few tips on making it easier to find that outfit and keeping your wardrobe at peak performance.

Right first things fourth, last things second and third things last, oh my, yes see how easy it is to confuse and confound yourself. So make a plan and stick with it to the end.

Lets make a bigger mess than what you have hidden behind those doors. Start by taking everything out of your wardrobe but begin grouping them with like items, yes shirts with shirts, jeans with jeans (right, not to say I have any but for the fairer sex dresses, skirts blouses etc…) I think you get the gist of the idea.

Now that you have everything strewn around the room in piles of like items start going through them and decide what to keep for use now what to put away because the season is over and what you will never wear again. Yes I know how hard it can be to separate with that beloved item of clothing but come on it’s been hanging there in the same place for the last 5 years. Donate it to a charity and let it collect dust in someone else’s wardrobe.

Now that the heart wrenching task is over with it’s time to look at your wardrobe and decide what is going to go where to make the best use of the space available or what about now that it’s empty you take a look at some new wardrobes, why just change what’s in it why not give your room a facelift at the same time. Here at Better Furniture we have a large variety of Elements wardrobes to choose from that are very clever in the way they make use of the space available. Add a drawer pack or additional shelving, how about an extra hanging rail or better yet a shoe rack, yes this and more is available with our Elements wardrobe range.
